This is Akito Yamagata's first One80 model, active in Japan.
He is very particular about the cut and this model is a work of trust on which he spent a year making adjustments.
The main ring cut is stepped to shorten the pitch.
The smooth-looking taper is actually a line of exquisite bumps, and combined with the delicate cuts, the finish is such that it seems like it will dig into your fingers.
There is a step on the edge of the main cutting area to make the grip position easy to see.
